Exodus 23:20

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

i am less than 10 hours away from moving on to the next phase of my life where i would supposedly be transformed from a boy, into a man or i would prefer from a kid to a killer. a big thank you to everyone who has taken their time off to keep me company the past few days, it really meant alot to me and to all those who have been sending all those encouraging smses. i should be out either on the 24th or 25th of june so if you want to meet me and see how much weight i've lost, just book me via sms. in case you should feel bored or have nothing better to do, please please sms me, you will never know how much i would be looking forward to news from all of you. i bid all of you a farewell. Godspeed.

it's official,

for those of you who are familiar with the hokkien term "lobert".
i have claimed the title of "lobert" king.
for those of you around me, you would probably have seen/heard the countless times that i have been at the blunt end of fate's cruel sense of humour.

with the most recent being just this thursday, when a bird, one of those irritating black ones you see flying around hdb estates flew into my room. now, those of you who have been to my place know that i seldom open my room windows and that it is extremely rare for a bird to fly into a 11 floor unit, especially since there is nothing to eat in my room apart from me. that aside, the bird, lets call him steven (no offence to any stevens out there, i just felt like calling him that, so sod off). steven flew in and landed exactly on the right hand side of my table, right next to my powerbook while i was reading my emails. we exchanged a few seconds of looking at each other, measuring the fear in each others eyes, i admit i probably was slightly more afraid than steven as i recall horrid stories of crows clawing the eyes out of innocent victims and i for one like to be able to see, so it called for due concern and fear. steven looked me in the eye, full of scorn and contempt, then jumped off, flew ard my room while i tried to duck and he dropped something on my bed. now, it brings to wonder what on earth could a crow possibly drop on my bed. duh. it was shit, yes the bird kind, white and gooey resembling the white of an egg. steven, after seeing the damage he had done, haughtily gave a last flap and flew out of my window. i told my mom, she didnt believe me, asking why the hell did i squeeze liquid paper on my bed until she looked closely in which subsequently she started to laugh at me. i do not even need to express the profane language echoing in my head, you get the idea. if you think its nothing really, let me know, il be more than glad to crap on your bed, anyday. as for steven, well done.

for those of you that know, mark, aaron and i had a similar experience while having supper. a cat, crawled under our table, looked up at me and vomitted right next to my feet, after which he had a 4" long drip of drool hanging from his lips. we left immediately and never went back there again.

i do not know what is my affinity with animals or is it just the beginning of more "loberts" to come. hopefully, though i doubt so, tekong would be a "lobert" free place. we shall see.

8 days.
so much left undone.
so much left unsaid.
so much left unsettled.
so much left behind.
so much left.

Just finished a show, Marine Parade CC Charity Gala Dinner.

Load in: 1am Monday Morning @Raffles City Convention Centre
Set-up: 2am - 11am
Rehearsals: 11am - 6pm
Showtime: 7pm - 10pm
Pack Up: 11pm - 3am
Bump Out: 4am - 6am

I was working non-stop for more than 24hrs, seemed a hell lot slower than that. It was a charity dinner with lots of rich people and poor people. The rich people were the ones sitting at the tables eating, the poor were the orphans and autistic kids who had to perform for them. Some performances were actually not bad and I was quite impressed, but nonetheless, linus would not mention this event if it was all smooth sailing... Some performances were BAD, like there was this dance item with this tight shirted loose limb faggot whom i almost ran up the stage to strangle, he dances like... im beyond words of description. Another was the chinese orchestra. BAD. But at least the technical coordinatoor was nice, in many other ways. So it made things livable. My crew was already screaming and tearing out their hair when dinner started. When we were packing up it was like a bunch of zombies were stealing equipment from the Westin. So now im here, not sleeping, maybe i shld.
